About this riff
Copperhead Porch is an eight-bar classic rock riff in standard tuning: Classic hard rock, A minor, open position, straight eighths. This is level 2 of 3, played at 125 bpm; the three levels of the riff run from 110 to 140 bpm. It works on power chords, hammer-ons and pull-offs, vibrato. The player loops the riff with drums and bass, starts at 70% speed and steps up 5% after every clean pass until you play it at full tempo.
The sixteenth pair is a quick down-up into the accent. In the licks, pick only the first note of each legato pair, and in bar 7 let the silence hang before the G pickup.
