About this riff
Last Tram Home is an eight-bar punk riff in standard tuning: Punk, G minor, melody first, triplet shuffle. This is level 3 of 3, played at 160 bpm; the three levels of the riff run from 140 to 160 bpm. It works on palm muting, power chords, hammer-ons and pull-offs, slides, vibrato. The player loops the riff with drums and bass, starts at 70% speed and steps up 5% after every clean pass until you play it at full tempo.
Keep the slide in bar 2 on one finger and add vibrato only once you land. The riff mixes triplets and sixteenths, so tap your foot on every beat and let each cell fill exactly one tap.
