About this riff
Pawnshop Halo is an eight-bar punk riff in standard tuning: Punk, G minor, triplet shuffle build-up. This is level 3 of 3, played at 160 bpm; the three levels of the riff run from 140 to 160 bpm. It works on palm muting, power chords. The player loops the riff with drums and bass, starts at 70% speed and steps up 5% after every clean pass until you play it at full tempo.
Switching between triplets and sixteenths is the hard part. Say "trip-let" and "one-e-and-a" out loud slowly. For the octave shapes, mute the 5th-string side with the index underside.
